Betsson Joins UN Global Compact to Advance Sustainable and Responsible Business Practices
A leading force in its sector, Betsson has formally committed to the United Nations Global Compact, a distinguished program championing ethical business conduct. By becoming part of this network of future-oriented organizations, Betsson vows to integrate the Compact’s ten principles – particularly those addressing employee rights, environmental responsibility, and ethical behavior – into the core of its activities and long-term vision.
The UN Global Compact acts as a platform for thousands of enterprises and interested parties across more than 160 nations. This varied assembly includes not only corporations but also non-governmental organizations, worker associations, and government entities, all joined by a common dedication to responsible business practices. The Compact motivates its members to incorporate the ten principles into their operations and strategies, and to proactively contribute to wider UN objectives such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
These principles, drawn from significant accords like the Rio Declaration and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, offer a structure for businesses to function in a manner that benefits both humanity and the environment.
“Becoming a member of the Global Compact signifies an encouraging advancement in our sustainability path, and we are immensely pleased to be involved,” stated Jesper Svensson, Chief Executive Officer of Betsson Group. “We strongly trust in the capacity of businesses to propel positive transformation and are committed to utilizing our assets to assist in building a more equitable and sustainable world for all.”
Betsson has committed to delivering a yearly update outlining the organization’s endeavors in maintaining these values and demonstrating the effects of their initiatives. This document is a crucial element of their dedication to ethical gaming practices.
Furthermore, Betsson recently established a collaboration with Greco, who will equip the company with their advanced risk engine technology.
